The leader of the Democratic Party, Sali Berisha, has harshly attacked Prime Minister Edi Rama for decorating Bardhyl Agas, the father of Ergys Agas, during an event in Durrës, describing this as a political message in support of crime.
At the DP Presidency meeting, Berisha declared that Rama, within the same day, in Durrës was decorating "the father of a mafia boss", while in Brussels he was talking about European integration and democratic standards.
" Imagine a little, it surpasses any novel, any novel of fantastic realization, the fact when Ramaduro decorates the father of one of the most dangerous mafiosi of the times in the morning. Italy has had Toto Rina, but Toto Rina has never controlled the government and digital data of Italy. Meanwhile, the Albanian Toto Rina is the only mafiosi in Europe who had everything in his hands in this country, including the prime minister. He lives freely in Shkozet, in Surrel, in Manzë and everywhere ", declared Berisha.
The opposition leader said that Bardhyl Agas's decoration was not a ceremonial act, but a direct political signal.
" Edi Rama, before leaving for Brussels for the eighth intergovernmental conference on the IBAR report, takes the time and decorates Ergys Agas's father to give a clear message to the citizens of Durrës that the Agas are the nobility of the crime party. To give a clear message to the SPAK party that the Agas are the pillar of the party ," Berisha said in front of the democratic leaders.
He accused the prime minister of double standards, saying that while in Brussels he presents himself as a supporter of European integration, in Albania he promotes figures linked to the criminal world.
" At the moment when he was speaking yesterday in Brussels, when he declared that we are fanatics of the European Union, his secretary general, on his orders, sent the party's decoration to Jurgis Çyrbes, the informant of a serial killer, factual and documented. So, there he expressed fanaticism towards integration, in Durrës he raised crime and cooperation with crime on a pedestal ," said Berisha.
