Dolors Montserrat visited the DP headquarters, where she was welcomed in a meeting by the leader of the Democratic Party, Sali Berisha.
Montserrat, who holds the position of Secretary General of the European People's Party, is in Tirana in the context of political contacts and meetings with representatives of the Albanian opposition.
The meeting at the blue headquarters focused on political developments in the country, cooperation with the EPP, and Albania's integration processes towards the European Union.
Montserrat was accompanied by Republican leader Fatmir Mediu, who appears to have managed to secure for his Democratic colleague a meeting with the EPP's number 2, just a few days after Berisha was reconfirmed through a referendum as leader of the DP.
