Sali Berisha has gone to SPAK again.
Democratic Party leader Sali Berisha arrived today at the premises of the Special Prosecution Office, implementing the "compulsory appearance" security measure.
This is the second time that the leader of the DP goes to SPAK, following the decision issued by the Appeals Court of Kosovo, which released him from "house arrest".
While his car was surrounded by several militants who have come out to protest in front of SPAK today. Berisha entered the institution while being accompanied by his lawyer. According to the decision of judge Engert Pëllumbi, Berisha must appear at SPAK on the first and third Monday of the month.
Meanwhile, dozens of police officers have gathered in front of the Special Prosecutor's Office to ensure the smooth running of the protest organized by the Democratic Party.
The "compulsory appearance" measure imposed on Berisha was not well received by the leaders of the Democratic Party, who had previously called the measure politically motivated.
Berisha himself has described SPAK's decision as a political attack on him, ordered by Prime Minister Edi Rama on the eve of the election campaign. We recall that Berisha spent almost a year under "house arrest" on charges of "corruption" in the privatization file of the former "Partizani" complex.
Also defendants in the Partizani affair are businessman Fatmir Bektashi, Xhimi Begeja, the orataku of Malltez, heir to the land and co-owner of 'Homeplan', and Andia Pustina, a financier who carried out all of Homeplan's financial and legal operations.
