The Chairman of the Democratic Party, Sali Berisha, is today in the city of Librazhd, where he is presenting the candidates of the "Alliance for a Greater Albania" coalition for the local elections on May 11.
During his speech to supporters, Berisha declared that this alliance aims for a landslide victory in the elections, offering a program that, according to him, will restore economic dignity to citizens.
He pledged that in the first 100 days of government, every pensioner in Albania will receive a minimum pension of 200 euros and a living wage of 200 euros will be established for all citizens.
"We are going to the elections on May 11th for a sure victory where citizens vote for themselves, their families and the future of all of Albania. I pledge to you that with our program we will return the money to Albanian citizens and every pensioner in this district, in this region and in Albania in the first 100 days will never have a pension below 200 euros, we will establish the living minimum of 200 euros which will improve the situation of 560 thousand pensioners.
In 100 days, we will lift Albanians out of extreme poverty. There is no Albanian who will not have less than 6.3 euros per day.
"Rama's regime is famous in the world for its connection to crime and drugs. I ask farmers, how many times have you heard him talk about you? About your orchards and products and how many times about drugs and cannabis. We will 5-fold the funds and subsidies for farmers," said Berisha.
