The Democratic Party has denounced cases of missing fingerprints or when the ink has been wiped off.
In a letter sent to the CEC, the DP requested immediate measures to ensure that each voter is stamped, and that the special stamp material be such that it cannot be erased for no less than 24 hours.
"We have received numerous reports from our members and observers at the Voting Centers that voters have not been stamped and in cases where the stamp has been applied, the ink is easily erased."
Article 105, point 1, letter “dh”, of the Electoral Code provides that: “The voter is stamped on the left hand by a member designated by decision of the VCC with a special object, visible to the naked eye and not removed for no less than 24 hours, in order to avoid voting more than once, and then the ballot paper is given to him. If the voter refuses to be stamped with the special object, he is not given the ballot paper and his identity is recorded in the Book of Protocols of the VCC Meetings.”.
Therefore, considering the above, in support of Article 105, point 1, letter "dh", of the Electoral Code, we request that immediate measures be taken to ensure that each voter is stamped, and that the special stamp material be such that it cannot be erased for no less than 24 hours.
"Thanking you in advance, we await your response ," the letter states.
