The head of the CEC, Ilirjan Celibashi, has called on candidates for MPs not to show up at polling stations, as such action is prohibited by the Electoral Code.
He said that the Central Election Commission has received reports that candidates for deputies have sought to enter polling stations. Celibashi adds that their presence in Voting Centers is strictly prohibited, adding that candidates must rigorously respect this legal prohibition.
"The CEC has received reports from the field that candidates for MPs have requested to enter polling stations. We would like to inform you that the presence of candidates in polling stations is clearly prohibited by the Electoral Code. Candidates must strictly respect this legal prohibition.
"They and other political representatives should be the first to contribute to the integrity of the electoral process," said Celibashi.
