The Socialist Party closed its electoral campaign on Friday afternoon with a rally at the Olympic Park.
Erion Braçe, who is running on the SP's open list in Tirana, addressing the citizens, called on Albanians to vote en masse on May 11 for number 5.
"We are facing a great and historic event. For 35 years, three generations have asked to be in the European Union. Here we are and now is the time for us. I have a prayer, every vote has value, and it gains value at the ballot box. So with a strong heart and a clear mind, on Sunday at the ballot box, to make Albanians part of the EU and to make this country better and better," he said.
The socialist MP also brought to attention the passing of 3 socialists.
"Thank you and welcome to unit no. 5, in the red heart of Tirana and the SP. Ismail Haroku was a fair, honest, hardworking and socialist man. He passed away just a few days ago. Until his last breath, he was talking to us of unit 5, and his SP organization on May 1. He breathed his last while handing over his list of voters for the SP and Rama. I want nothing more than for Ismail Haroku, Halil Alla and Altin Binjaku, all three of whom passed away just these days. A big round of applause for these men who make the SP of Albania. May their souls rest in peace and lead us from above. We are facing a great and historic event," said Braçe.
