As the May 11 parliamentary elections approach, Prime Minister Edi Rama held a meeting with citizens in Lezha today, where he continued his attacks on the opposition.
Not sparing irony and satire, Rama once again described the DP as a "swamp", while calling its leader, Sali Berisha, a "swamp owl".
"I don't bully, satire and caricature are the highest forms of criticism. Satire is painful. It's not the fault of the person who makes the satire, ask yourself why it hurts," declared the head of government, referring to the reactions from the opposition.
He continued with the analogy, saying: "They put the owl in the shade now and the others sit in the sun. Just as frogs gather croaking in the swamp, so do they."
