Former Prime Minister Sali Berisha held a meeting with economic experts to discuss the draft budget for 2024.
Berisha said that the 2024 budget is the pot of power and is approved in clubs with baklava pans, as he added that this is the budget of the biggest theft in the history of Albania.
He also commented on the parliamentary opposition action, which stated that the opposition MPs will not stop the action until their demands are met.
"This budget is the first in the history of this country, which passes clandestinely, without any meeting with citizens, interest groups, which is approved in clubs with baklava pans, with the claim that this will be the people's baklava. Zoom is approved in the most blatant defiance of the laws, which provide for zoom only in emergencies and pandemics.
But in the mafia state, the law has no value. All this that the Albanians see is related to a problem that has never existed in the 32 years in the history of this country. All that the Albanians see that the budget, the biggest parliamentary event of the year, passes clandestinely, is due to the complete denial of the constitutional rights of those who represent the 600,000 Albanians, who, despite the very special conditions, do not they were sold, they were not bought, they were not scared, but they voted against the government and for its deputies.
The denial of these constitutional rights in parliament constitutes the de facto political execution of the opposition and its representatives in parliament. But the opposition deputies have decided to stay in the parliament, with a resistance, a battle without return for the restoration of the constitutional rights which in appearance are theirs, but in essence they are the constitutional rights of every Albanian and oppositionist, but not only. Opposition or not, most Albanians are for political pluralism. What happens in parliament is the annihilation of political plurality.
So the conditions in this year, the budget is discussed as in a state of war. Or the budget was discussed as if it were a severe pandemic, one of which we also experienced, while this year there is nothing else but the strengthening of the power of the mafia that does not respect any rules, any laws.
Despite this situation, I greatly appreciate the commitment of the Department of Economy and Entrepreneurship at the DP to organize this debate and to present to the Albanians all our analysis, our proposals for the coming year's budget.
It must be said, at the top of the queue, this is the budget of the biggest state theft in the history of Albania. This is the truth, the reality.
To predict 400 million euros, because it closes the port with a real capacity of 4 million tons of goods processing per year and with a real possibility to go to 6-7 million, only that Edi Rama and his clan want to get rich by taking 1.4 million square meters of land in Durrës, creating there the biggest washing machine in Europe, in which the one who presents himself as an investor is committed to investing from 4-5 billion euros, a total of 70 million euros, but all of which is money Albanian mafias deposited in Dubai, Albania or Mexico, which today is one of the most powerful mafias on the planet, all connected to the government, with Edi Rama who will build his paradise, his Dubai, the Dubai of the Albanian mafia and that world, condemning a city, a people.
