DASH says that there is no political violence in Albania before, but it takes as an example January 8, 2022, when Sali Berisha violently attacked the PD headquarters.
" Political violence is rare. In January 2022, an Albanian politician, declared "non grata" by the United States Government, for significant public corruption, tried to forcefully enter his party's headquarters, bringing the intervention of the police. In 2019, political protests included cases of civil disobedience, low-level violence, damage to property, and the use of tear gas by police. The May 2023 local elections were peaceful. "Albania has generally encouraged stability in the region and maintains friendly relations with neighboring countries ," states DASH.
Sali Berisha has been declared undesirable by the USA for major corruption, together with his family. He is accused of using his power to enrich his family and allies. No matter how much Berisha is trying to remove the stigma of corruption, he is not succeeding, as the Americans continue to take him as a bad example. / Pamphlet
