After the order of the Supreme Court, the Special Prosecutor's Office (SPAK) officially started the investigations on January 21. In this regard, PD MP Dhurata Çupi said that the investigation process should not be politicized, as then justice cannot be delivered.
" It is a sensitive issue because there are 4 killed and we must be careful that the investigation process should not be politicized. If an issue is politicized, then there is no justice, but there is injustice" , she said, in an interview for "Report TV".
Regarding the vote of immigrants, Çupi said that the opposition has supported the demands of the diaspora to vote in the elections.
" The opposition has supported the request of the diaspora and we also have a decision of the GJK. The opposition has been by the side in the dialogue group and has supported the request, we have our differences with the SP, we are used to distortions of election results and the opposition has a different approach to vote for the diaspora. The diaspora should be able to vote freely, every immigrant who meets the conditions should be registered and given access to vote, without machinations and without government filters ," she said.
Some democrats have asked that Berisha not be a candidate for prime minister in the parliamentary elections, but MP Dhurata Çupi did not share the same opinion.
" I don't get involved in any debate except what the status provides. DP has Berisha as its leader and there is no reason to debate about this ," she said.
