The head of the Socialist Party Parliamentary Group, Taulant Balla, in a media appearance after the end of the meeting of the Conference of Speakers, stated that the opposition should bring names for the Parliamentary Committees.
He said that the head of the DP parliamentary group, Gazmend Bardhi, should have been present at today's meeting, as he had only been excluded from the plenary sessions.
"4 chairmen and 7 vice-chairmen belong to the opposition. The names must have come, as they must go to the Conference of Chairmen. If they do not bring them, in procedural terms the committee is considered constituted, when the majority is present. The meeting can be initiated with 1/4 of the signatures of the members. We had a discussion today in the session. On the part of Gjekmarkaj, concern was raised as to why the head of the DP Parliamentary Group, Bardhi, was not present. He was excluded from the plenary sessions, but not from the Conference of Chairmen. He cannot be excluded from committee meetings, as this is how we have put an end to window entries," he said.
While commenting on the plenary session where the new governing program was approved without debate for 25 minutes, Balla said that "the behavior of the majority is based on regulations."
"On September 17, we had a session of the Conference of Speakers where we discussed the modalities. Article 110 of the Assembly's regulations clearly stipulates this, as there is no room for evasion of obligations. It has been requested that, in deviation from Article 110, the group leader speak at the same time as the Prime Minister. The only issue I raised is that the solemnity of the session be respected," he said.
