The deputy of the Democratic Party, Ina Zhupa, said today she declared in the parliament that corruption in Albania according to the KLSH has brought damages to Albania only with public procurements of about 120 million dollars.
She said that former mayor Safet Gjici, who resigned after the sexual video scandal, received 110 million euros in tenders.
"Only the mayor who used his office as a motel room received 110 million euros in tenders. And no one spoke about these tenders until the scandal broke. According to reports, 54 percent of the tender procedures are in violation", said the DP deputy.
Safet Gjici resigned as the head of the municipality of Kukës after the recently published scandalous video in which he appeared having sex in his office.
In his reaction, he said that it was a trap prepared by political opponents.
