The independent candidate for the Municipality of Tirana, Florian Binaj, has reacted for the first time regarding some photos published online, where he appears alongside Edi Rama and Erion Veliaj. In a public statement, Binaj has clarified that these are moments taken from activities where he was invited in the function of his profession as an actor, and not as a political participant.
The photo with Prime Minister Rama, according to Binaj, was taken during an activity organized by FRESH, in 2013. He explains that at the time he was imitating Rama's figure as part of a humorous sketch. The symbolic gesture of the "mandarin" - a moment that is related to his first appearance on "Fiks Fare" - was used to build a public joke in the style that he has followed for years.
As for the photo with Veliaj, Binaj says it was just a coincidence. He had been invited to an activity with the elderly by an employee of a social center and had no idea that it was an event organized by the municipality.
Binaj says that at that moment he had gone to meet pensioners, to serve and share a human moment with them, but in the end he was faced with an unexpected situation.
" This photo (the photo with Edi Rama) was taken at a FRESH event. At that time, they said that Rama was the only solution that could save the country, in 2013. Since I was imitating him, I did a skit and in the end I made a connection with the first appearance on Fiks Fare, to get me going he gave me a tangerine, and then when I met him again I gave him an orange ," he said in "Top Story".

I go there and meet the elderly, great joy, hugs, one of them looked like my grandfather. While I was serving the elderly, I see a shadow that quickly runs away, and says "Lal, shoot quickly", and I didn't know how to react. I didn't know that it was Veliaj's activity, what should I say, I should tell the elderly to take the bread basket because this one came. Veliaj was not like that at that time, since then we have not been together anymore" , Binaj said.
