The Chairman of the Together Movement, Arlind Qori, invited to the show "The Unexposed" on MCN TV, spoke about the suspension of President Begaj's decree.
Qori said that the Constitutional Court's decision must be implemented and that it would be ridiculous if Rama and Celibashi organized elections on November 9. However, Qori stated that the Together Movement will continue preparations for the elections, to be ready.
" Beci hypothesized that the CEC and Rama could say we continue our work and hold elections, this would be an assassination. It would be unimaginable, that when the GJK says it is suspended, they say we go to elections. If the GJK has 30 days to give its decision, if it gives it on November 2nd, we take it, these CEC people say elections after 7 days. This is the ridiculousness of the process. Therefore, the President of the Republic has made a serious mistake by decreeing the elections.
" We as a party could not not put forward a candidacy, and even today as we speak we cannot stop the campaign, as it is entirely possible that Rama and Celibashi will come out and say the elections are continuing. So we must be ready ," declared Qori.
The leader of the Together Movement reiterated the call for other candidates to accept the debate in the television studio.
" I regret that candidates from other parties will not come to a debate. Instead of them coming to the debate, representatives of the party who support the candidate and replace the candidate come.
"I hope that after 25 years there will be a debate on the elections for the Municipality of Tirana, so that citizens vote with reason, knowing the candidates, their programs, and their preparation. Elections are not just about image curation. Citizens should have the opportunity to hear everyone ," said Qori.
Regarding candidate Florian Binaj, Qori stated that he is Sali Berisha's candidate and the Together Movement cannot join the group of parties that are supporting Berisha's candidate.
" Manastirliu is Rama's candidate, if they vote for her, everyone knows that Rama will be mayor. Binaj is Berisha's candidate and their coalition, some parties that have left the fold of the DP and are returning in a camouflaged way. The new parties have also betrayed the voters, because they have said we are against the system. Today they support Berisha's candidate for the Municipality of Tirana. If the citizens vote for Binaj, they will get Berisha at the head of the Municipality. If they vote for me, they will get me, because they have no one else to get. Nothing unites us with the old parties of the system.
We are against the economic oligarchy. I cannot campaign with Berisha and have me denounce the kullas and Berisha say there are no oligarchs and they are fakirs. Our distance from other parties is complete. Whenever the elections in Tirana are held, we will go out and ask for votes.
"If they vote for me as mayor, the government will fall, it will be a huge shock to the system. If they support us, the effects will not only be administrative, but a rapid transformation of Albania will begin ," Qori said, among other things.
