The head of the Democratic Party parliamentary group, Gazment Bardhi, raised a procedural request during the plenary session in the Assembly, accusing the Speaker of the Assembly of delaying a report submitted by members of the Council.
According to Bardhi, five members of the council have submitted the report for consideration in the plenary session because, according to him, the chairman had not taken a position within the established deadlines. He stressed that the report was submitted on Monday and that, based on the Assembly's regulations, it should be included in the nearest session.
"The report was submitted on Monday and the earliest session is today's session. The agenda does not include the consideration of this request. There is still one week left and the request is considered rejected ," declared Bardhi.
He accused the Speaker of the Assembly of having dragged out the procedure for about two months and that he is now also delaying the inclusion of the report in the plenary session.
According to Bardhi, this situation is also hindering the investigative process requested by the Special Prosecution Office against Corruption and Organized Crime (SPAK).
"The investigations have been hindered for three months, because SPAK is demanding an investigation. Please respond. My request is procedural," Bardhi said during his speech in Parliament.
