Prime Minister Edi Rama announced yesterday through a press conference that he has submitted to German Chancellor Olaf Scholz and French Prime Minister Emanuel Macron a draft statute on the Association of Serb-majority municipalities in Kosovo, with the aim of de-escalating the situation in the North and the normalization of relations between Pristina and Belgrade.
Euronews Albania has contacted the spokesperson of the German Bundestag to get more information about the content of this draft statute.
In the reply returned to the journalist Thimi Samarxhiu, the spokesperson of the Budenstag admits receiving the document from the German chancellor's office, but preferred not to give more details about the content of the draft, due to the confidentiality of the document.
"We can confirm receipt of the document at the Chancellery. We ask for your understanding that we cannot comment on the content of this confidential document," the Budenstag spokesperson said in response.
