The former chief democrat, Lulzim Basha, today held a meeting with democratic supporters in Shkodër, from where he declared that the purification of politics is more immediate than ever.
Referring to the case of Arben Ahmetaj, Basha said that the file showed that the entire government is immersed in corruption, while adding that the government approves laws and takes decisions only for the criminal interests of a clan.
According to him, justice must go all the way to Edi Rama, the man who holds the ties of crime and corruption, because no one can be above the law.
" For Albania today, it is more immediate than ever to clean up politics from all those who have misused the trust of the citizens, serving corrupt and clientelistic interests.
The SPAK file for the arrest of Arben Ahmetaj showed how this government adopts laws and takes decisions only for the criminal interests of a clan.

Parliament should pave the way without wasting time for vetting and detailed control of criminal assets and connections.
