Prime Minister Edi Rama, also the leader of the Socialist Party, commented on the establishment of the Special Anti-Corruption Commission, while he was invited to "Real Story".
He emphasized that this commission will continue its work until Albania joins the European Union and its establishment does not aim to interfere in the affairs of the new judiciary, a thesis that has been articulated in public opinion.
"It will continue and that commission will continue until Albania enters the EU. That commission is not at all the thing that many have interpreted and many want it to be to create the idea that we have created a commission to interfere in justice matters, it is not at all. In the negotiations, 67% of the things we have to do have to do with justice," he said.
Rama also commented on the attacks carried out by the justice system.
He emphasized that the Socialist Party has surrendered the sword and that it will no longer be taken back into the hands of politics.
"I don't want to count people and I don't want to mention people's names. It's about 12 years of journey. The Socialist Party is a very big party and we have many people engaged in the government. This is the choice we have made and we will stick to it until the end, otherwise why did we make this choice?"
"The choice we made is to surrender the sword, it is not in our hands. The sword has been surrendered and is no longer taken, the words to take a position at a certain moment are normal because we are in a democracy and we have surrendered the sword and we have nothing to discuss anymore. Those are sovereign decisions of justice," Rama said.
