Former Democratic Party MP Dashnor Sula has spoken out about the dismissal of Erion Veliaj. He said that this decision taken today at the Municipal Council meeting could be an agreement to release him from prison.
Sula also expressed that there is a big question mark over Veliaj's role, adding that there is the possibility of a "half-game" in the name of human rights and the non-destruction of evidence during the trial.
"Why wasn't Veliaj dismissed during the 7 months of the investigation? Because one of the arguments that SPAK and the court had is the destruction of evidence, pressure on witnesses. The reason for dismissing him was when he was under investigation due to the destruction of evidence, now that the investigation is over, there is no risk of the destruction of evidence... so there is something wrong.
"There is a big question mark with Erion Veliaj. There is a possibility that it could be a half-game in the name of human rights, not destroying evidence, etc. during the trial process there is a change in the security measure. It is not surprising that we have such a secret agreement with all the designated actors, except SPAK ," Sula told "News 24".
