The Democratic Party has made a request to Parliament today, December 22, for the Mandates Council to meet on Tuesday, December 23, on the "Balluku" issue.
It was the leader of the Democratic Party parliamentary group, Gazment Bardhi, who expressed the request for a meeting of the Mandates Council on Tuesday, at 11:00.
We recall that Friday's meeting, after 5 hours of debate, closed without agreeing on the date of the next meeting, where the request for lifting immunity will be discussed, after all members of the council and the accused party have been familiarized with the voluminous material with evidence and arguments that have been filed by the prosecutor in the case.
Balluku's lawyer, present at the meeting, requested 3 weeks to familiarize himself with the material received from SPAK, and the majority, with the argument that the defense should be given time to prepare, but also to await the decision of the Constitutional Court on the Prime Minister's appeal regarding the conflict of competences with the special structure, decided that the meetings should be convened after January 22.
