DP protest, Lapaj speaks as if he is depoliticized: I do not support political

Adriatik Lapaj, the leader of "Albania Becomes", who has been protesting in front of the Prime Minister's Office for 15 days, said that the protest that the Democratic Party will hold today should go beyond the party's logos.

In the column 'Today Live in Albania', Lapaj emphasized that during protests, parties should be left in their headquarters so that we can protest as citizens, while on the other hand he remains distanced from the protests organized by the leader of the Democratic Party, Sali Berisha.

"We are here and the day before yesterday we organized a big protest. If the DP comes with the party's flags, of course I will hold my own protest, I am not the lord of the city nor the man who decides where the protests take place, I respect every protest."

But I hope that the Democrats will be in the square beyond the party logos and flags because it would create a greater unity of citizens. We are here without a logo. I strongly believe that we must unite before the autocracy of Edi Rama. We must leave the parties at headquarters and get them ready when the elections are held and go out into the city as citizens. Here the only flag that should be raised is the national flag, because Albania needs to overthrow the Rama regime", said Lapaj.

Lapaj further highlighted that 2,000 citizens from all over Albania gathered in front of the Prime Minister's Office on Saturday to protest. He stressed that this is not the time to grow the party, but the time to save Albania.

"On Saturday there were 2,000 citizens from all the cities of Albania. After 10 or 15 days there will be even more. I will stay here until I have power. I will do my best within the laws and constitution of this country. Citizens cannot look from the sky and expect miracles, they must organize. I started as an individual, we became 10, 100 and 2 thousand. Here in the square is a protest that began with individual symbolism with the message that every person should come here for their own troubles. This is not the time to grow the party but to save Albania", Lapaj emphasized.

Lapaj also commented on actor Viktor Zhusti's statement after the publication of a photo by the leader of the 'Albania Becomes' movement.

According to Zhusti, the photo Lapaj published with him was used as a "propaganda stunt" for political rallies.

"I met Zhusti and found him with the activists. We took a photo as a souvenir. I told him I wouldn't post it, I would keep it to myself, but he told me if he doesn't post it, don't do it. At least 20 people witnessed this.

"His reaction was made three days later. I published it as a sign of respect and his reaction is inappropriate. The fact that an actor is worried about a photo shows the miserable state of Albania, this saddens me. The post he made yesterday was not appropriate," said Lapaj.
