It is learned that former Prime Minister Fatos Nano is still in intensive care. His condition is stable.
The former president of the SP has been hospitalized in a private hospital in Tirana since Thursday, August 24, 2023. Nano was taken by ambulance from his home to the hospital after having breathing problems.
The news was made known only two days ago, where it was learned that Nano was intubated in intensive care, but his condition remained stable and, however, the prognosis remained reserved.
Former Prime Minister Fatos Nano had health problems two years ago. On May 28, 2021, Nano appeared at the Tirana hospital to receive medical help, accompanied by his wife, Xhoana Nano. Fatos Nano, currently at the age of 70, has been Prime Minister of Albania 3 times. The founder and first head of the Socialist Party of Albania left politics in 2005.
Nano was the chairman of the Socialist Party from June 12, 1991 until 2005, a period in which he also served as prime minister of the Republic of Albania.
