Pulpit in front of the Prime Minister's Office, Këlliçi appeals

The Democratic Party will hold its next rally at the Prime Minister's Office on Monday afternoon. This is the fourth protest in as many weeks, which is taking place in the format of a 'parliamentary-citizen rally'.

Meanwhile, MP Belind Këlliçi, also based on the fact that December 8 is a historic date, as 35 years ago it marked the start of the student movement that followed with the establishment of pluralism in Albania, has called on young people to join the DP in this protest.

Këlliçi writes in a post on the social network Facebook that December 8 is not only a historical date, but a symbol of the responsibility of the younger generation to not accept the status quo, to not abandon their homeland, and to face the challenges that are hindering their development and freedom.

"December 8, as Youth Day and the symbol of the Student Movement, is the embodiment of half a century of hunger of the Albanian youth and people for freedom, for knowledge, for dignity.

Even though the symbolism changes over time, the great cause continues to be relevant even in the context in which we live.

Albanians still aspire to live in a free, democratic, prosperous, and modernized state.

Albanian youth has all the potential to actualize this freedom.

No one feels the stifling of their abilities, the economic stagnation, the frustration of their tremendous potential better than young people. Despite the propaganda, young people are not apathetic or indifferent.

They see and understand everything, including the fact that they have been deliberately left out of decision-making, equality in merit with the sole purpose of patronizing society in every cell.

At the same time, it is up to young people to become aware of the critical situation the country is going through.

We should not respond to evil by running away, but by confronting it.

"With all their energy, creativity, and strength of thought, youth must achieve, at any cost, today, the conditions for the future they want tomorrow," writes Këlliçi.
