The Directorate of Taxes has requested a public apology from MP Erion Braçe. After the fight at a distance with him and this institution, director Ceno Klosi reacted today. Until yesterday, the directorate itself was talked about as an institution and did not leave anything unsaid about Braça, while today Klosi has cheated and publicly apologized to Braça, criticizing even his subordinates.
“On behalf of the General Directorate of Taxes and on my own behalf, we apologize publicly to deputy Erjon Braçe for the hasty and not at all institutional reaction to his public criticism. The MP's concerns deserve the attention of our institution and it is not our duty to respond to anyone who freely expresses his opinion. This breach of institutional ethics will not be repeated. I hope for everyone's understanding for the above", says Ceno Klosi.
The day before, through a status on the official Facebook page, Taxes called the statements of the deputy "insulting" and "incorrect", who also stated on Facebook that this agency had taken measures bordering on "robbery".
Brace claimed in a video on his website on Tuesday that he had been notified by traders that a law enforcement agency had gone to inspect the fruit and vegetable market after several of his public appeals about the abuse of fruit and vegetable prices.
"A part of the merchants, notified, have closed the shutters, cars, etc., a part, those who cannot solve with them, have been caught in illegal conditions" - says Braçe, claiming that the tax agents have told the merchants that "we don't have what do we do, Bračja gave the order, you have it from him".
Describing the tax officials as "useless idiots of the state", the socialist deputy clarifies to the public that he has no right to order anyone and that the purpose of his denunciation was not a fine, but the search for a tax invoice on purchases from farmers and sales from the merchant.
But Taxes reacted very harshly: "We are sorry to hear from a Deputy insults and disrespect towards the Tax Administration, defaming its work, even worse with false information , judgments of a Member of Parliament that not only do not improve the work of an Administration, but on the contrary publicly insult it, rightly or wrongly.
We remind Mr. Braçe, and clarify to the public, that small businesses are subject to 0 Profit Tax and 0 VAT. So the issuance or not of the Tax Invoice, even though it is a legal violation, will not change the prices in any way, as claimed, since the prices are determined by the Offer-Demand as in any liberalized economy" .
