The former PL vice-president, Endrit Braimllari, clarified his statement that he is ready to join the SP in the next elections.
Invited to the show "Real Story", Braimllari said that he has not yet received a concrete proposal, but added that his electorate leans more towards the left. Commenting on the harsh reactions to his stance, he said that he is no longer a party functionary.
" First, I resigned from the function of that party. I have not been active in the party structures for almost a year. I have also been expelled from the national steering committee, which has given me the right to look at my commitment and think about where I will be involved in the next elections. In the next elections, we face two alternatives, a right-wing camp represented by DP, and the left by SP. I have my supporters and my commitment on the left and I look more at myself to be more part of such a commitment and there is no reason for anyone to worry and worry when I am not running away from duty. I have decided to have a commitment of my own that in this time in which we live, everyone has the right to choose. Whether my choice is wrong or not, this will be decided by the citizens or even time will tell. There is no reason to irritate anyone or use bullying language. We must break away once and for all from a mentality of an old politics where the language of blackmail and violence keeps you in line. No one keeps me in line with violence. First, I am as pure as crystal. If I had problems, I would not go out to speak on TV. I have decided that I am passionate about politics. I do not have anything concrete. I have made my commitment clear" , he said, among other things.
He stated that he was attacked and accused of treason, but emphasized that these accusations are untrue and that it is not his case at all. Braimllari said that his passion for politics has no room for bargaining.
" There is nothing true in that attitude, it is not a betrayal. Betrayed when you are at the front in battle. I have been the first on the front line for 19 years. My former colleagues know very well. I was the first on the front line, and often to do my duty at the front I was even harsh. This has nothing to do with treason. Who am I betraying? Whose interests? I am a person who wants to engage in political activity. I'm starting a new era, so I'm saying I'll start from the beginning. I have a passion for it, they think there is always a bargain. The attack is not being made by my former colleagues, but by those who came from state offices who came without trying the ground. How can you say such a term to a founder. What can a young person think, they don't think how to go to the voter, but to finish the work they have within the opposition ", he said further.
