While commenting on the work of SPAK, lawyer Spartak Ngjela, stated that the anti-corruption fight is currently at an average level, but that it should take the work to another level now. Njjela says that he believes in the American project for SPAK.
The lawyer pointed out that there is high corruption from both sides of politics and that for the attacks of Sali Berisha, who has been under accusation for more than a year for the affair in the "Partizani" file, he said that he has "the psyche of the accused ” and that he cannot "do or solve things with terror".
" Justice has entered the path of permanent control, we always talk about SPAK, because this one outside SPAK still has problems with corruption. Whereas SPAK is creating and has created strikes, it has created tension among the corrupt, there are strikes, let's see how it will go, yes, they are not few. There are many, ex-prime minister, ex-deputy prime minister, ex-president, that are under accusation, let's wait how the investigation will be, because it is not easy. We have to look step by step, but the signs are that the criminal offense will increase, that there is no other way ", says the lawyer, invited to "Report TV".
But he also demands a reaction from the Government in the fight against corruption, since many of the accused are or were part of it, who are in SPAK or before the Court.
" It's good that the criminal strike happened, but does the government have the ability to stop corruption? Does it matter, that the government is suffering, that those who are accused of corruption belong to the majority of socialists, that is the question. Will they take measures for corruption, it is not the Prosecutor's Office that stops corruption, but the institutions, the council of ministers, etc., but if the administration is corrupt, it cannot protect the state. Will the government pass the project of the anti-corruption war or will it be like the bazaar of the living thing? ", he emphasizes.
Njjela thinks that the corrupt have left evidence and traces and that they are not professionals, while he waits to see if SPAK will raise the level.
" The will is not hindered by desire. There is massive corruption and those who have committed corruption are not professionals. A professional is not afraid, he hides it, with the banks etc., they thought that the sea had turned sour and these people were fed with spoons, but they have caught the sour! What the prosecution will do next remains to be seen, but I think it is an average level, but further it will depend on the prosecutors themselves whether they will raise the level or not. We will see ", underlines the lawyer.
But when asked about the pressures and threats of organized crime against justice, or even those of Sali Berisha against SPAK and BKH, he emphasizes that corruption is linked to organized crime and they act together, as he believes that Washington-directed justice it will work out.
" Government corruption has always been associated with organized crime. We are not talking about armed gangs, but cooperation between government corruption and business, with big merchants. They can put pressure on the prosecution. Glad you got them, but you won't spend them, will you make ice cream? How are they going to do it, there are data, they went with people for money laundering, with bags. But there is a big cyclops eye following them, where is it? In Washington, I follow them, I know everything. Almost all of them, but the point is that these are in politics, that those who have identified them all have them, they know how much they have and where they have them. Until now, they were sure that the confiscation of their assets came from an international court, but now the law has changed. If the Albanian court convicts them, they are then blocked everywhere. As for Berisha's accusations against SPAK, he said that justice is run by the Americans from Washington and that the war is not waged with terror against justice.
