Germany limits election rallies: Apply 10 days in advance to get permission
Germany has limited the electoral meetings of Albanian politicians on its territory. Given that for the first time the diaspora will also vote, Edi Rama, Sali Berisha, but also the leaders of other parties in the country, have focused their campaign on countries where there are Albanian immigrants, such as Greece, Italy, Germany or Britain.
But apparently Berlin is tired of such manifestations and has submitted a verbal note to the Foreign Ministry, stating that for any electoral meeting in the territory of this state, 10 days' notice must be given and only if the request is approved by the federal authorities, the meeting with Albanian voters can take place. This note was then submitted to the CEC, which must notify the candidates.
Nearly 300,000 immigrants have registered to vote on May 11th, and their vote is seen as very important for the outcome of May 11th. Since it is difficult to "buy" them, all parties have started lobbying to convince them to vote.
Currently, Italy and Greece have not created any problems, as there has been the greatest focus, because there is the largest number of voters from the diaspora. Rama and Berisha have also focused their focus there. However, we have to wait until May 11 to see if the diaspora will make a difference or not.
