Along with candidates Tedi Blushi and Erisa Xhixho, but also in the electoral meetings of Freedom Party candidates in Tirana for the imprisoned mayor, candidate Ilir Metaj, former minister Edmond Haxhinasto has also been involved.
This fact has irritated the Democrats of Elbasan, because Edmond Haxhinasto himself is a candidate for MP, second on the safe list of the "DP-Greater Albania" coalition in the Elbasan District, but he is only campaigning in Tirana.
He is not campaigning for the coalition and the Freedom Party, but only for candidate Ilir Metaj, when according to the agreement with the DP, he should campaign in Elbasan, to collect votes for the coalition and its candidates in the area where he is scheduled to run.
The only one who is campaigning for himself in Elbasan is the Freedom Party's open list candidate, Dashamir Xhika, the former Director of Roads who was imprisoned for the 50 million Euro affair, which he stole on behalf of former Minister Edmond Haxhinasto and Mayor Ilir Meta.
In fact, Edmond Haxhinasto has a secure mandate in Elbasan because he is second on the closed list, so he doesn't mind too much, and he has decided to stay in Tirana for Ilir Meta's votes.
He knows that the Democrats will vote for him in Elbasan, while he has taken it upon himself to collect the votes of the remaining Freedom Party supporters in Tirana, those who will manage to buy them with money and deceive them for jobs, telling them that the PD-PL will come to power.
The abandonment of the campaign by Edmond Haxhinasto, members of the DP and its open list candidates in Elbasan; call it a mockery of their votes and have complained to Sali Berisha, but he has ignored them, because he is the one who allowed him to collect votes for Ilir Meta in Tirana.
Sali Berisha has even ordered the 7 candidates on the closed list of the DP in Tirana; Flamur Noka, Edi Paloka, Albana Vokshi, Belind Këlliçi, Jozefina Topalli, Besart Xhaferri and Klevis Balliu, to campaign and collect votes for the imprisoned leader of the PL, Ilir Metaj.
