The chairman of the Freedom Party, Ilir Meta, reacted after the decision of the Arbitration Court, which overturned Albania's request and decided the judgment on the merits for compensation of 40 million euros for the Durrës concession.
Through a post on social networks, Meta writes that Rilindja only loses lawsuits with concessionaires or large companies, burdening the state budget.
He further said that Albanians will pay 40 million euros more in taxes!
"The irresponsibility and schizophrenic corruption of Rilindja is adding more and more huge financial costs to the Albanian state and Albanian taxpayers every day.
Session after session, arbitration after arbitration, Rilindja only loses trials with concessionaires or large companies, burdening the state budget. The international arbitration rejected the request of the state and decided the judgment on the merits for compensation of 40 million euros for the concession of Durrës. 40 million euros more taxes for Albanians!!
40 million euros that could be used to increase pensions and financial support for the purchase of medicines for our pensioners will go to compensation, because we have a totally incompetent and corrupt government!
40 million euros that could be used to support our farmers, will be paid compensation, because the government does not respect the law, because its law is corruption!", writes Meta.
