The Democratic Party has reacted regarding the decision of the Supreme Court against the former MP Ervin Salianji, which overturned the request presented by his lawyers, for the suspension of the implementation of the decision with 1 year imprisonment given by the Appeal.
Through Ivi Kasos, PD considers the decision of the Supreme Court as a re-conviction of the former democratic deputy Ervin Salianji, stressing that it was made under the pressure and orders of Edi Rama.
Kaso says that the servants of Edi Rama and Fatmir Xhafaj in the judiciary cannot force the opposition to be silent and complain about the government.
"Against an illegal and politically motivated decision, the body of the Supreme Court neither rose to the task nor served the balance between the powers in Albania which Edi Rama has erased with a stroke of the pencil.
The detention of the deputy chairman of the democratic parliamentary group is a medal for him and the opposition, and a stain of shame on the government and its courts, which have turned the persecution of opposition exponents into a witch hunt.
The Democratic Party once again expresses its support for its deputy and for every opposition voice that stands up against the regime.
The DP emphasizes that there is no peace without the release of all the opponents unjustly kept in solitary confinement or in cells.
"The servants of Edi Rama and Fatmir Xhafajt in the judiciary cannot silence the opposition nor force it to turn into a complaint against the government, just like them," said Ivi Kaso.
