Today, the socialist mayor of Kuçova, Kreshnik Hajdari, appeared before the Special Court to familiarize himself with its decision regarding the request of SPAK that was addressed to him for the start of the trial.
GJKKO decided to transfer the case to Kreshnik Hajdar for trial and he will be tried for "falsification of seals, stamps or forms".
In the same decision, the court accepted the summary trial for Hajdar.
Hajdari, in the self-declaration form, before running in the May 14 elections, affirmed that he has never been under investigation or trial by a foreign authority, for committing a criminal offense, and he has never been convicted by a decision of final form by an Albanian or foreign judicial authority.
Hajdari was charged with falsifying the form by not declaring a sentence of 4 months in prison in 1999 by the Court of Ioannina, for illegal crossing of the border.
On November 15 of last year, Kreshnik Hajdari climbed the stairs of the Special Prosecutor's Office, accompanied by the lawyer Theodhori Sollaku, where the charge was communicated to him. His lawyer, Thedodhori Sollaku, said that his client was not aware of the sentence by the Court of Ioannina on June 23, 1999.
In defense of the mayor, the lawyer Theodhori Sollaku reiterated the position that the conviction in Greece in 1999 for illegal crossing of the border is not a criminal offense that constitutes an obstacle to the candidacy, and as such there was no reason to be reflected.
Just one day before the socialist mayor was charged, the Central Election Commission decided not to terminate his mandate. Hajdari was accused by his rival in the May 14 elections, Lefter Maliqi, as Greece officially brought the response to the letter sent by the Albanian General Prosecutor's Office.
In this answer, it was said that Kreshnik Hajdari was sentenced by the Court of Ioannina for illegal border crossing, with 4 months in prison, commuted to immediate deportation and a fine of 1500 drachmas. The mayor has several reports to the justice bodies, such as abuse of office or electoral crimes.
In the investigation by SPAK for falsification of the self-declaration form, the mayor of Kuçova recently put his mandate at risk. The Complaints and Sanctions Commission overturned the decision of Ilirjan Celibashi that Kreshnik Hajdari continue his duties despite the fact that he hid his sentence in Greece.
KAS requests that the issue be reviewed once again in the CEC. Lefter Maliqi himself said that he wants Hajdar's mandate to be removed, not because of the sentence itself, but because of the fact that it was not reflected in the self-declaration form.
