Prime Minister Edi Rama speaking about Albania's EU membership during a TV interview, was asked if Greece will be an obstacle to membership due to the Beleri case.

To the question on the show 'Real Story', Rama answered with a joke saying that; "if this work will remain in Beleri, so be it, we will never join the EU".

Meanwhile, he repeated once again his position that the case is subject to the justice bodies and they are the ones who will decide what happens to him.

" I don't believe that the concern of Greece will continue until 2030 and if this work remains in Beleri, so be it, we will never join the EU. But I don't believe that this will remain there, this is an issue that is pointless to discuss anymore. We have carried out this discussion, the gentleman is subject to the bodies of justice, they are the ones who will decide what happens to him. Regarding, beyond the humor, 2030 for me is not very important, whether we are formally or not in the EU, for me it is important that we become a country with all EU parameters for ourselves, for our children . said Rama.
