At the close of the Mundësia Party's electoral campaign, a special and unexpected moment was recorded on stage: Enida Shehaj, Agron Shehaj's wife, delivered a different speech, sharing with the public a human portrait of the party leader.
Her speech, delivered on the 18th anniversary of her marriage to Agron Shehaj, brought a personal testimony to the man who, according to her, does not seek public attention, but acts with dedication, stability and honesty, qualities that she considered essential for a leader that Albania needs today.
" Today I am very excited because today is a very special day for me. You would think that it is the end of this very important journey. This day coincides with our anniversary. Today we celebrate 18 years together. That is why I took the courage to speak because I want to share something with you. I think that no one knows Agron better than me.
I'm often asked: How is Agron outside of politics? How is he at home?
"Agron is not the man of big surprises or romantic gestures, of flowers. By the way, he didn't bring me flowers today ," said Mrs. Shehaj, lighting up the hall.
" But he is a person who is always there when I need him. He supports you, respects you and makes you feel appreciated every day. Agron is the pillar of my family, he is my greatest strength and he is the support for my children."
I believe you know by now, he is not one of those people who makes promises, words, no. He actually does much more than he says. He is not one who seeks attention, but gives stability and trust. And I firmly believe, with all my heart, that Albania needs a man like Agron, real, honest, determined. Without spectacles, without show, but real. I thank you with all my heart for joining this journey, for giving us hope. You are giving hope to Albania and making us dream. Thank you very much "- said Enida Shehaj.
