Shkëlqim Ahmetaj spoke at the closing rally of the Democratic Party that took place on the New Boulevard. The citizen introduced himself as a socialist who had supported this party for 30 years, but on May 11, he would vote for the 'Great Albania Alliance' coalition led by Sali Berisha.
"I have been a socialist for 30 years. In these 12 years with the Socialist Party in government, I have been in the administration, always supporting people in need. But today I am here to denounce an unfulfilled promise - the lack of multidisciplinary centers for children with problems and their families," said the citizen.
Outraged by Edi Rama's governance, Ahmetaj stressed that he could no longer remain silent, while calling on citizens not to sell their votes and embrace change:
"Accusations will be made against me, they will say 'sold, bought'. But freedom has no price. Neither does human life. Change is a value of democracy and brings good things in its wake."
