Poisoning of children in Gramsh, Zhupa debates with Kushi: The Minister of

The Committee on Education and Public Information held its first meeting today after the May 11 elections, following the work in the Albanian Parliament.

The focus of the discussion was the event at Gramsh's school as well as the state graduation process.

The chairwoman of the committee and Democratic Party MP, Ina Zhupa, requested a public hearing to clarify both issues, especially the Gramsh issue, where she believes the Ministry of Education bears responsibility for the incident.

Meanwhile, from the majority, MP Evis Kushi agreed to receive full information regarding the incident in Gramsh.

"The Ministry of Education is responsible for the Gramshi incident. I think that we should schedule a hearing to provide the necessary explanations for both issues, both for Gramshi and for the state matura. The Minister should come to the Commission. We should demand responsibility as we deserve, because we are here to guarantee the best, especially in the interest of children, and not to cool the power that is growing disproportionately and illogically," said Zhupa.

On the other hand, Socialist Party MP Evis Kushi, former Minister of Education, expressed that she shares the concern over Gramshi's case, considering it an issue of high public sensitivity.

"Very briefly, I wanted to join you in expressing concern about the Gramsh incident. It is undoubtedly a serious incident that concerns us all, because the health of our children is paramount. I think we need to receive full information about the incident. It is not yet known whether the reasons and causes have been fully made public," said Kushi.

In the end, it was decided that the next day, the Commission's day, would be used to exhaust these two issues.
