A few hours before the plenary session where SPAK's request for the immunity of MP Belinda Balluku will be considered, the Socialist Party has mobilized its MPs to ensure participation in the vote.
The leader of the SP parliamentary group, Taulant Balla, has sent a message to the majority MPs, informing them of the holding of a parliamentary group meeting before the start of the session.
" Good evening. As I announced at the Group meeting, tomorrow at 9:00 we will hold a Group meeting in the Sessions Hall of the Parliament. Please make arrangements for participation. The entrance will be from the side of the Toptani Shopping Center. See you tomorrow ," the message says.
Tomorrow's plenary session is expected to be tense, as the agenda will include the consideration of SPAK's request to lift Belinda Balluku's immunity, while in parallel the opposition has called for a protest in front of the Parliament.
The Democratic Party has announced that protesters will gather at 10:00 in front of Parliament, at the same time as the plenary session will begin.
Due to the protest and the vote on Balluk's immunity, a tense situation is expected both inside and outside the Assembly hall. The police have taken security measures and installed a metal fence around the Parliament, while restrictions on vehicle traffic in the surrounding area have also been foreseen.
