The head of the parliamentary group of the Democratic Party, Gazment Bardhi, declared yesterday evening that he had and maintains friendly relations with Lulzim Basha.
Bardhi said that he was the only one who constantly opposed Basha within the Democratic Party when the latter led the party.
"I have Lulzim Basha as a friend and I will have him as a friend as long as I live. I have openly told everything to Basha. There has been someone who has been a permanent opponent of Basha for every action, decision, even a message, the only one who has been an opponent within Basha's DP has been me, and this is thanks to the completely human relationship we have had with each other. I have always had the freedom to tell Basha what I think. I believed as truth what he told me privately and publicly that he will resign, so that the division in the DP ends and the democrats unite", said Bardhi.
Meanwhile, we remind you that yesterday, the DP's College of Presidents proposed that the new leader be elected by July 15. During yesterday's meeting, the heads of DP branches opposed the platform proposed by the parliamentary group for the reorganization of the party.
According to them, this takes time and requested that the new mayor be elected within July 15.
