Former socialist minister Malaj has been harsh with Prime Minister Edi Rama's intervention in the Municipality of Vlora, where after his visit all the directors resigned.
Malaj describes Rama's governance as authoritarian, based only on instinct, while adding that the prime minister's action is illegal.
" Rama's action in Vlora is illegal and anti-European. Decisions should be made where the vote is closest. No one has the right to dismiss 21 people and Ermal didn't get wind of it. Rama doesn't govern as he wants. There is no prime minister who takes the mayor's chair. Rama governs with a terrible authoritarianism. He governs with instincts in a satanic way. When we were talking about the lack of water in Vlora, the waste, why didn't Rama react ," Malaj said on "A2 CNN".
Arben Malaj expressed disappointment with the decision of the directors of the Vlora municipality to resign after the meeting with Prime Minister Edi Rama.
According to Malaj, in this way they have admitted that they are guilty or have had poor performance.
" There are 13 Cadastral Directors who have changed in Vlora in recent years. There are dozens of owners in Borsh, Himara and the coast who are not even allowed to build on their property because it is a land mafia. What was done in Tirana is being done in the south of the country, where there is space for investors, but also for owners. How is it possible that a government did not make a map for 12 years. I am very disappointed with the people of Vlora that 21 people directly accept to resign. In this way, they have admitted guilt, for poor performance or corrupt elements ," said Malaj.
