Idrizi said that he received the document he presented at the Central Election Commission, where Beleri himself wrote that he was sentenced to 3 years in prison for humiliating the republic, but he had not served a single day in prison.
"Eight months before the local elections, it was heard that Fredi Beleri could be a candidate for the municipality of Himara. I reacted first because I was impressed that a man with so many burdens for us because of his records. A man who in his statement to the CEC said that he was sentenced to 3 years by final decision for humiliating the republic and its symbols. If you want, I'll tell you. (Takes out the document). Also, the head of the PDIU adds that in the statement Beleri has admitted that he was convicted for carrying weapons without a permit in connection with the Peshkepi massacre and that his best education is plumbing.

Fredi Beleri was sentenced to 2 years in prison by the Special Court on the charge of buying and selling votes for the local elections of May 14, where two days before they were held, he was caught red-handed offering a citizen in Himarë 40,000 ALL in exchange for 8 votes.
