The former socialist minister Arben Malaj has reacted on the serious situation Fatos Nano is in, as he focused on today's statements of the lawyer Spartak Ngjela, who showed how he helped Nano to get out of prison.
The lawyer said that when the prisons were opened, Nano wanted to kill him and he was transported in a Ministry of Justice car.

Minister of Justice Njela has contributions in the management of that critical situation. Nano refused to escape from prison. The situation was becoming dangerous for his life. First there was the transfer by helicopter from Bênça prison in Tepelene to Tirana prison. The prison exploded and almost all the prisoners escaped. Nano sent a message that he would not escape even though his life was at real risk. Nano makes it clear that it would come out in the fall when the amnesty was applied.
It took the intervention of former Prime Minister Fino and Minister Ngjela to convince former President Berisha to announce amnesty. Only then did Nano agree to be released from prison.
