"I am innocent", Fredi Beleri speaks from the cell: the court's decision was set by Rama 4 months ago

The elected mayor of Himara Municipality, Fredi Beleri, spoke from prison today about the decision of GJKKO, which dismissed his request to be sworn in as mayor.

During his speech, Beleri said that he is in prison by order of Prime Minister Edi Rama and expressed his conviction of his innocence.

He added that the court has sided with those who, according to him, want to hijack the Municipality of Himara.

"Even the fact that they are not allowed to speak in detention is not normal because everyone else is talking about me, except me. GJKKO today took a decision that Rama had given 4 months ago. In August in Ekathimerini, Rama said that there is a court decision that prohibits Beleri from swearing. Today the court notarized the decision.

He has appeared more than 5 times in the media and SP forums where he has said that he cannot swear because the law does not allow it. A member of parliament was released from detention here and took office. There is no legal equality here. The court has joined the alliance of those who want to take Himara by force. In no country in Europe and the world can a loser exercise his duty.
