Former Prime Minister Berisha concluded his speech at the 33rd anniversary celebration of the Democratic Party, stating that there is no force, regime, or dictatorship that can withstand the battle with civil disobedience.
Berisha expresses his conviction about the opposition's action, as he said that now that they are 33 years old, they are at the most powerful age for the battle without return until victory.
"On December 21, 1991, in a Balkan that was still under dictatorships and old regimes, we rose from that square and declared that our national issue would be our polar star. We announced the national interest as the polar star of the DP.
It was not easy, I tell you that others around us never accepted this. But we should not be if we did not proclaim the national question and the national interest as our polar star.
We were not afraid, we stuck to this principle and in close cooperation with the former president of Kosovo, the immortal Ibrahim Rugova, other political leaders of the Albanians in the region, we succeeded in turning the national issue into an issue on the agenda of all offices and institutions great of the world.
After 2013, the DP paid attention to this issue and closely followed the anti-national, anti-Albanian attitudes of the Pashiq of Tirana, Edi Rama.
Again, political force of ideals, in very difficult, extremely difficult conditions, I am a witness of how difficult it was for each of you to support the re-establishment in the conditions when transnational corruption was used to give the colpo di grazia to the DP .
This did not happen because you were true to your ideals. You stood up and today we are standing. Today we are more determined than ever to fight this battle until the victory of the DP.
Today we are 33 years old, we are all at the most powerful age of the battle without return.
Today we are 33 times more knowledgeable, more visionary, more determined, to walk confidently towards victory. Today we love Albania 33 times more than we loved it in 1990.
Today we love freedom 33 times more than in 1990, when we did not know it.
So today there is no force, no regime, no dictatorship that can resist us in our battle of irreversible civil disobedience.
But today, all of us democrats, wherever we are, are 33 years old, but we win the battle with 20-year-olds, with 22-year-olds, we win with Albanian youth.
They have fled a lot, hundreds and thousands have fled Albania these 10 years, but still hundreds and thousands are in Albania.
Where do we start? To our children, wherever they are, at the forefront of this battle.
Where do we start? To the children of the opposition people, at the forefront of this battle.
Where do we start? To every young man and woman of this country who believes in a European Albania.
So, the irreversible battle that has started in parliament is the light at the end of the tunnel, which should illuminate the mind, heart, and soul of every democrat.
We must do everything, take them with us, put the young people of this country on a pedestal.
There is no force in the world that can resist them.
Therefore, once again, wishing you a happy 33rd anniversary, I call on you to make this a day of oath for us and for every democrat, a battle without return until our victory", Berisha said during his speech.
