Jurgis Çyrbja resigned after being called to SPAK, CEC gives the mandate of MP Erjon Meka

Erjon Mekaj is officially a deputy of the Socialist Party. The CEC gave him the mandate of deputy, after the resignation of Jurgis Çyrbja.

The CEC made the decision a day after the Speaker of the Parliament, Elisa Spiropali, announced the vacancy in the Assembly.

Deputy Erjon Meka was on the lists of the Socialist Party in the 2021 elections.

Jurgis Çyrbja resigned from his mandate only a few days after appearing in the Special Prosecutor's Office, but according to the former deputy, this had nothing to do with his decision.

He has stated that he has no concern of a legal nature, but that he needs to take care of his health.

Jurgis Çyrbja appeared again at SPAK a day after handing over his mandate and was accused of "abuse of duty".
