The head of the Democratic Party, after leaving the premises of SPAK, where he was taken as a defendant for the 'Partizani' affair, gave a statement to the media. Asked by journalists if he will be the candidate for prime minister, Berisha has extinguished the hopes of names who are circulating to take over the leadership of the party and run in the elections, such as Gazment Bardhi.
He said he will run for prime minister, despite being under house arrest.
Berisha: I have given a definition, after winning the elections there will be a race for prime minister. Anyone who wants to come challenge Sali Berisha.
Will you be in the election? Will you be the leader of the campaign?
Berisha: Without question. Even of victory.
In front of the media, Berisha said: "Two things: I declared that this is a top fraud pyramid.
