Opposition MPs are objecting during the meeting of the Parliament Bureau, a decision by the Ethics Secretariat, which excludes DP MPs from plenary sessions and committee activities, due to tensions created in the Parliament hall, in one of the last sessions of the last parliamentary session.

The Bureau meeting is taking place without the presence of the media, while the opposition requested that it be open.

MP Klevis Balliu, one of the expelled lawmakers, has requested clarifications on why his expulsion was decided.

"It is said that we have endangered the lives of MPs. Whoever drafted this decision should come here and explain to us how we endangered the lives of our fellow MPs," Balliu addressed the socialist members of the Assembly Bureau.

He further stated that the decision to exclude opposition MPs from parliamentary activity is based solely on the political order of Edi Rama.

"We have denounced every affair, are you trying to silence us?" Balliu said.

On December 23, 2025, the Ethics Secretariat decided to suspend 6 DP MPs for 30 working days from plenary sessions and parliamentary committees for unethical behavior. The six MPs suspended for 30 days are: Belind Këlliçi, Fidel Kreka, Albana Vokshi, Flamur Noka, Klevis Balliu, Elda Hoti.

Meanwhile, for 23 other MPs, no exclusion from plenary sessions was decided, but attention was drawn to their behavior in the Assembly.
