Democratic Party MP Dashnor Sula, while commenting on the current political situation, said that the opposition has lost time to play its role in front of the majority, due to the divisions it has suffered in recent years.
"Undoubtedly, it is a pity that for two and a half years the problems with the opposition have penalized the Albanian opposition, but let's not forget that they have also penalized the Albanian society because with the events that have happened to the majority, scandal after scandal or megascandal, no it would be outside any kind of moral political logic, a government should not stand on its feet or at least be shaken very strongly from its foundations and the opposition does this because that is why it is a democratic system. The fact that the opposition has had problems among itself has also created this very big impasse ," he said.
The opposition is divided into several groups, the official DP, the "Bardhi group" and the "Reestablishment", while several attempts of a reunion have been seen. How is it being done?
"We have to be very conscious and responsible from the first person that we all need to be together as an opposition force, indisputably. I belong to those politicians who I think and judge who believe and feel themselves to be oppositionists, either in this part of the opposition or an opposition force, of course there should not be any kind of obstacle to being in opposition and joining an opposition front of a federation which has at least been articulated, discussed and at least there has been an initiative, because the days go by and the weeks and months go by and it becomes more and more urgent to unite the opposition", he said for "Vizion Plus".
On the other hand, what is the 'movement' that the official PD is following in this unification attempt?
"No group can say who is the official PD, the fact that we do not have a definitive decision regardless of whether I want you or I interpret it, the seal or the logo, referring to the March decision of the Tirana Court, belongs to the group of "Reestablishment", but this is not the problem, I would say that all parties, whoever they are, should come to their senses and understand that the only solution is the union of the opposition", he said.
