Consultations for the date of the 2025 parliamentary elections, President Begaj

Today, President Bajram Begaj starts consultations with political parties, in view of the decree for the date of the next parliamentary elections in 2025.

Today, President Begaj will host Fatmir Mediu, head of PR, Vangjel Dulen of PBDNJ, Shpëtim Idrizin of PDIU and Dashamir Shehin of LZHK.

The meetings will start at 10:00, while at 12:30 a consultation with PL is also planned. On Thursday, the President will meet with representatives of the Freedom Party (PL).

Meetings with the two largest parties, the Socialist Party (SP) and the Democratic Party (PD), are scheduled for next Monday, December 2.

According to the Constitution of Albania, more specifically, article 92, point "gj", it is the President who sets the date of the parliamentary elections, which must take place within the period from April 15 to May 15, 2025.
