The leader of the Freedom Party, Ilir Meta, in a reaction from the cell accuses the government of corruption and deliberate mismanagement of public investments.
According to Meta, the Civil Emergency Committee meeting four days after the floods was belated and served only to protect 'government corruption embodied in hydropower companies'.
Meta added that responsibility falls on the institutions that have not cleaned the drainage canals and have allowed construction on collectors.
The leader of the PL focused particularly on the floods in Gjirokastra, calling them a serious failure and accusing Prime Minister Edi Rama of a delayed reaction.
Meta compared the operation of hydropower plants to the issue of incinerators, stating that they serve more to justify the spending of public funds than to protect citizens from floods.
Meta on Facebook: The head of the Criminal Organization, who remembered to convene the Civil Emergency Committee only 4 days after the floods caused by the schizophrenic corruption of the Government and its municipalities, defended his corruption (water thieves). Contrary to the flooded residents and hydrology specialists, he, with the impudence that distinguishes him, blamed the "flood" but also the people who throw away plastic bags.
