Prime Minister Edi Rama spoke today about Cadastre services, which will be available online through e-Albania from July 3.
During his speech, Rama blamed MPs, ministers, mayors, for the situation in which the Cadastre is located. He said that they, although he did not address them personally by name, but by their position, have "interfered" with their work by using their power and interfering to the point of imposing and appointing employees.
"Cadastre is not for "heads". The cadastre was obstructed in the first place by you. The cadastre has been continuously obstructed by you, and when I say by you, I mean the category, MPs, ministers, mayors, to continue all those who have even a little power, who have given themselves the right to interfere with the Cadastre, from the appointments of managers, an influence to the imposition, to the influence for employees, for support for one or the other until the imposition, preventing the Cadastre from becoming what it should be, the safe bank of real property of Albanians", he said.
The Prime Minister also added that work has been done, but not enough, to undo the influence of politics on the Cadastre.
"We are not in the conditions where we have reached where we should be, but we have seen miracles after miracles with the properties of Albanians. The political influence on the Cadastre has been very present, then others have done a thousand times what they were forced by friendly, family ties, by clan ties", said Rama.
Rama also justified that they could not transform the Cadastre even though they had a lot of time. The head of the government emphasizes that they have made many efforts to change the system of obtaining the property title, but there has been no result yet.
"The reason why I wanted to make this meeting open by inviting several ministers, deputies, mayors is to tell some important truths which are the truths of many people throughout this period, even though we have made a lot of efforts to changed the system of obtaining the property title, they have come across situations and processes that are absurd to the point of pain. The first truth is that we have not succeeded, even though we have had a long time at our disposal, to transform the Cadastre into what it really is," said Rama.
